The Rt. Hon. Beverley McLachlin Access to Justice Fund (the McLachlin Fund) is pleased to share its 2023 grantmaking activity which resulted in supplemental funding totalling $60,000 being awarded to two grant recipients from the 2022 funding call, the New Brunswick Refugee Foundation and the Yukon Public Legal Education Association.

The supported projects will contribute to increased access to civil and family justice in different regions across Canada. The McLachlin Fund’s grantmaking activity in 2023 prioritized support for projects from under-represented and under-resourced regions in the context of an uneven funding landscape for access to justice initiatives in the country.

The McLachlin Fund’s Governing Council is grateful for the generous support of its donors and for the Vancouver Foundation for hosting the McLachlin Fund.
